The stein features two traditional German hunting sayings that celebrate friendship, hunting heritage, and respect for nature:

“Frei ohne Scheu dem Walde treu.”

(Free and without fear, faithful to the forest.)

“Dem Freunde gut ist Jägerblut.”

(A hunter’s blood is good for friendship.)
