Double Platinum is KISS’s legendary first greatest-hits collection, released in 1978 to celebrate the band’s string of platinum albums. This is the original Japanese pressing by Victor Musical Industries, prized by collectors for the quality of Japan-made vinyl. It features 20 classics including “Strutter ’78,” “Detroit Rock City,” “Beth,” “Love Gun,” “Cold Gin,” and “Rock and Roll All Nite.”

The deluxe gatefold jacket is finished in mirror-like silver foil with embossed KISS logos and embossed portraits of all four members inside. This copy includes the famous “Platinum Award” presentation insert (printed in U.S.A.) with its embossed mirror-foil record — an iconic bonus often missing from used copies — plus the original Japanese 4-page insert with liner notes and lyrics.

Condition

  • Used - Vinyl: playable with some light scratches (hairlines) on the surface. Jacket: scuffs and rubbing wear on the silver foil cover, as is typical for this mirror-finish jacket. Platinum Award insert and Japanese lyric insert included (some aging/stains). Please judge the condition from the photos.
