Vautier was a renowned Swiss brand from Geneva known for producing high-quality precision tools for watchmakers, jewelers, and gunsmiths. These are hand-pushed tools used to carve or incise intricate designs into metal, wood, or other hard surfaces. Each tool consists of a hardened steel blade (the graver) fixed into a wooden handle, typically made of hardwood like boxwood or ebony. The set includes different tip shapes, such as onglette (pointed) and flat gravers, each designed for specific types of cuts or line widths.
