I have several vintage saws I am getting ready to list. Although I love old tools….I am not an expert on these saws. I try to do as much research as possible before I list them to provide the correct and relevant information. However, if there are any details that I should add, or any information that is already listed that may not be correct, please don’t hesitate to message me through eBay.

Ø Vintage Hand Saw by Disston

Ø “Warranted Superior” Medallion

Ø 7/8” Medallion Diameter

Ø 26” - Blade Length : see photo for measurement.

Ø 10 PPI : see photo of 10 stamped on blade.

 

CONDITION / DESCRIPTION:

Ø Estate Find.

Ø As found condition. I will let the buyer decide on any clean up or restoration efforts.

Ø It is in overall solid condition. Given its age and use it shows the usual wear and imperfections to be expected

Ø It still cuts well, at least in my opinion.

Ø The blade is straight.

Ø No broken teeth.

Ø The wooden handle shows wear from age and use. It is overall in solid condition. On the backside of the handle are personalization marks:

Ø There is some etching on the blade of the Disston logo as well as factory script. It is hard to make out all the details due to the wear on the blade.
