Thermal Grizzly Duronaut Thermal Paste
Thermal Grizzly Duronaut is a high-performance thermal paste designed for users who want reliable heat transfer, excellent long-term stability and a clean, effective solution for CPU and GPU cooling.
What is Duronaut used for?
Duronaut is applied between a processor or graphics chip and its cooler to help transfer heat away from the component more efficiently. It fills the tiny surface gaps between the chip and the cooler base, helping reduce thermal resistance and support better cooling performance.
It is suitable for a wide range of applications including:
- Desktop PC processors
- Gaming PCs and high-performance systems
- Graphics cards / GPU repasting
- Laptops where thermal paste replacement is required
- Overclocking and demanding cooling setups
- Repair, upgrade and maintenance work
Key features and benefits
- High-performance thermal paste – designed to improve heat transfer between the chip and cooler.
- Excellent long-term stability – developed with durability in mind for lasting performance.
- Ideal for gamers and enthusiasts – suitable for high-load systems where cooling matters.
- Suitable for CPU and GPU use – a strong choice for PC builds, repairs and repasting jobs.
- Thin application layer – designed to spread efficiently for effective contact between surfaces.
- Premium Thermal Grizzly quality – from one of the best-known names in PC cooling compounds.
How to apply Duronaut thermal paste
- Turn off and unplug your device. Allow the system to fully cool before starting.
- Remove the cooler carefully. If replacing old paste, gently separate the cooler from the CPU or GPU.
- Clean the surfaces. Remove old thermal paste from the chip and cooler base using a suitable cleaning wipe or high-purity isopropyl alcohol.
- Apply a small amount. Use a small pea-sized dot in the centre of the CPU, or spread a very thin even layer if preferred.
- Do not over-apply. More paste does not mean better cooling. Too much paste can reduce efficiency and create mess around the socket.
- Reinstall the cooler evenly. Tighten the cooler gradually and evenly so the paste spreads under pressure.
- Check temperatures after fitting. Once installed, monitor your CPU or GPU temperatures to confirm everything is seated correctly.
Application tip: Duronaut is designed to work best as a thin layer. The goal is to cover microscopic gaps, not to create a thick cushion of paste.
What to look out for
- Make sure the old paste is fully removed before applying new paste.
- Do not touch the cleaned CPU/GPU surface with your fingers, as oils can affect contact quality.
- Use only a small amount of paste. Excess paste may squeeze out around the edges.
- Ensure the cooler is mounted firmly and evenly.
- If temperatures are unusually high after fitting, check that the cooler is seated correctly and that the protective film has been removed from the cooler base if applicable.
- For laptops and graphics cards, only attempt repasting if you are comfortable disassembling the device.
Good for
- New PC builds
- CPU cooler upgrades
- Refreshing old or dried-out thermal paste
- Gaming PCs running under heavy load
- Workstations and high-performance systems
