This authentic polar planimeter was manufactured in the USSR by the renowned Geoinstrument plant. A planimeter is a precise mechanical analog integrator used by engineers, cartographers, and surveyors to calculate the area of ​​irregular shapes on maps, drawings, and diagrams.

The set includes an original vintage wooden storage box with a small metal stamp plate, a heavy polar arm, a tracing arm with precise vernier scales, and a calibration ruler.
