(Previous listing ended due to confirmation that the ring is actually size L 1/2 and not M as previously thought)

A beautiful antique Victorian 18ct gold gypsy ring set with alternating natural rubies and old cut diamonds, dating to the late 19th century (circa 1880s).

This classic five-stone band features 2 richly coloured rubies and 3 sparkling old-cut diamonds flush set into warm 18ct yellow gold in the traditional Victorian gypsy style. The hand-cut stones have the soft, irregular sparkle characteristic of antique diamonds and gemstones from the period.

The ring is fully hallmarked with traditional English gold marks including “18” for 18ct gold, a crown mark, assay mark and Victorian-era date letter.

A timeless and highly wearable antique piece with lovely age, character and history.

Originally a family piece.
