A fine equestrian lithograph by Berlin Secessionist artist Gino De Finetti (1877-1955). The work depicts a steeplechase rider in mid jump over a woodland fence, beautiful portrayal of movement.

The lithograph is hand signed, numbered and dated for 1922 in pencil by the artist and also signed in the stone with his distinctive monogram.  The image measures approx. 7 1/2 x 10 inches, sheet size is approx. 14 x 17 1/2 inches and it is printed in black ink on watermarked laid paper. Aside from minor corner chips and gummed tape to the reverse top corners, it is in excellent condition.

Gino De Finetti also Gino Ritter von Finetti (1877-1955) was an Italian painter and graphic artist. Born in Istria (in present day Croatia), from a very young age de Finetti showed an aptitude and passion for drawing, after attending school in Trieste, he trained artistically in Munich.  He resided in Germany until 1934, the year in which the rise of the Nazi regime convinced him to return to Italy.
