Co. in Birmingham, England. This set features the classic and highly collectible "Reed and Ribbon" pattern,
perfectly embodying the timeless Louis XVI neoclassical aesthetic.

Hallmarks / Marks: The knife blades are clearly stamped with "ELKINGTON PLATE ENGLAND" alongside
the 'S' date code letter cartouche. The handles feature the prestigious retailer mark of "BROQUA &
SCHOLBERG".
Historical Provenance & Retailer Note:
The handles proudly bear the original retailer stamp of Broqua & Scholberg, an iconic and highly prestigious
luxury house active in the Rio de la Plata region (Buenos Aires and Montevideo) during the late 1800s and early
1900s. Known for supplying elite families and local aristocracy, they commissioned premium European
manufacturers like Elkington to produce custom-stamped luxury items for their exclusive clientele.
Condition Report:
This set is in very good antique condition with normal signs of use. The intricate "Reed and Ribbon"
details on the handles remain exceptionally crisp and sharp. There is no major silver loss, no structural damage,
and no deep pitting.
