A handmade chawan in the seishoku obi kannyu (瀬色帯貫入) style of Mino ware, the rounded form covered in a clear sky-blue glaze with fine kannyu (crackle) texture throughout, the rim finished in a contrasting black band. The interior carries the same luminous blue. The base is unglazed white stoneware. The hand-formed rim has a gentle organic irregularity. Made in Japan. New, unused.
