Them!
is a 1954 black-and-white science fiction giant monster
film starring James Whitmore, Edmund Gwenn, Joan Weldon, and James
Arness. Produced by David Weisbart, the film was directed by Gordon
Douglas, based on an original story by George Worthing Yates that
was developed into a screenplay by Ted Sherdeman, with adaptation by
Russell Hughes.
Man has split the atom and ushered in a new
era…but how could he know he would also create Them?
Radiation has mutated common ants, causing them to grow to
enormous—and deadly—size. This surprising threat to humanity finds
the military powerless to stop the encroaching hordes. Can the human
race survive this all-out insect insurrection?
A landmark
sci-fi classic that spawned decades of imitators, Them! features
award-winning and unforgettable special effects,, performances from
