Offered for sale is a beautiful clear glass WATER GOBLET, made in the (aka) GRAPE BAND pattern.  This pattern is sometimes called EARLY GRAPE BAND.  It has a band of grapes, leaves, and vines near the bottom, and plain smooth glass from about halfway up the sides. The stem is hexagonal, with a star design where the stem is attached (second picture).  It was made in Pittsburgh, PA, U.S.A. by Bryce, Higbee & Co.  The pattern was introduced in 1869.

Goblet stands 5 3/4 inches (14.6cm) tall, and measures 3 inches (7.6cm) wide at the rim. It is shown with a U.S. quarter in picture 4, to give an accurate impression of the size at a glance.

It is used, but in remarkably good condition for a goblet so old.  It has no chips, cracks, deep scratches or repairs, and no visible cloudiness or discoloration.  Mold seams are raised, and are clearly visible.
