Vintage Japanese silk obi sash.
The obi sash is made of silk and hand crafted with real gold and silver threads.
Beautifully crafted with floral design.
Obi is a belt sash used as a belt to fasten a kimono. It is very long with the front and the end weaved in the same design.
I bought my obis in Japan when we were living in Tokyo. They were cheap as Japanese were superstitious in regard to antiques and have no room in their apartments to keep old things.
I used item as a table runner, and they were stunning in my house. I used them on hall tables, side boards and dining tables. They are classy and different.
This is an older obi and not a modern one. It is of superior quality and the finest workmanship.

As with most antiques, it is inevitable there could be some minor flaws that might not be detectable. The photographs form part of the description.

'Most of my collection is one of a kind. I bought the items because I liked it for myself. They were never intended to be resold. Each item has a story and when possible, I hand carried them in my luggage from all over the world to bring back to Australia. Some of the items have travelled a long way away and some of the items has been with me for more than 50 years.
I am now retired and need to downsize. I will not be able to buy a similar item again and not able to sell it at the same price. If you buy an item from me, it most likely is the only one, I have. Not only you are buying an item you are also buying 50 years of experience.
Thank you for bidding.
I would like to thank my customers for their positive and encouraging feedbacks I received over the years. They are my credentials that money cannot buy. Your friendship and your support are very much appreciated and valued. Thank you”.
I have a 5 business days shipping policy however if I can send earlier, I will.
