Antique Egyptian Revival Figural Bronze Pharaoh Inkwell

This Antique Egyptian Revival inkwell, crafted from cast bronze and brass, dates to approximately 1880. The central bronze figure, depicting a pharaoh or deity adorned with a nemes headdress, is intricately cast and features a hinged lid that opens to reveal a removable glass ink reservoir as well as outstretched arms to hold a pen. The figure is seated upon a circular brass base, which is engraved with a variety of stylized Egyptian hieroglyphic motifs, including scarabs, birds, and ankh symbols. In very nice original condition showing some typical age-appropriate wear from normal use with a slight bend to its hinge so the lid is slightly raised on one side
