Set of 6 Vintage French Dinner Knives - Alfenide (Christofle) - Chess Knight Hallmark

Exquisite set of six dinner knives produced by the prestigious Alfenide factory. In the late 19th century, Alfenide was acquired by Maison Christofle, becoming their specialized line for high-durability, luxury silver-plated tableware.

 Handle Hallmarks: Stamped with the brand "Alfenide" and the iconic Chess Knight (Chess piece) symbol. This specific hallmark was used by Christofle to identify pieces manufactured under their direction using the superior Alfenide alloy. It also bears the number "18", indicating the high quality of the silver plating.

Blade inscription: Stamped "Alfenide Paris Inox", confirming the use of high-quality stainless steel blades, which dates this set to the 20th century. 

Condition: Very good condition with normal signs of use and wear.
