On 7/26, the Tigers won the game 9-8. Cabrera scored 2 runs, drove in 2, and hit his 428th career home run.

Mookie Betts had 2 hits, scored a run and drove in 1.  Dustin Pedroia had a hit and drove in 1.  David Ortiz had a hit, run scored and drove in 3.  His hit was his 528th career home run.

It was the final time Cabrera and Ortiz would homer in the same game.

On 7/27 the Tigers won 4-3.  Cabrera homered again, this time to break a 3-3 tie and  go ahead with 2 outs in the 9th.  It was his 429th career home run.

Dustin Pedroia homered for the Red Sox.
