Interesting albumen photograph dated 1876 of the 9th Company of the Grand Ducal Hessian Infantry Regiment No. 117 in Mainz, Germany.  

This regiment was part of the imperial German Army.

The condition of the actual photograph is good, as pictured.  However, evident in my pictures, there is significant damage to the cardboard mount.  It has a lot of chipping and loss, as pictured.
