Chinoiserie Lustre Breakfast Cup & Saucer

A superb mid nineteenth century breakfast cup in the Hawking or "Sana" pattern.

With decoration showing a Chinese scene of figures in a garden and one with a hawk. Unusual both for it's relatively large sized cup, and being in a brown lustre palette.

Unmarked for the maker but will be one of the Staffordshire makers possibly Hancock.

In good condition with no damage or obvious wear. The saucer measures 15.5 cm in diameter with the cup 8.6 cm in height.

Apology for some of the images, difficult to obtain a clear picture with the reflections from the high lustre decoration.
