Mike's Ship-A-Hoy (officially Mike’s Ship-A-Hoy Sea Food Grotto) was a famous nautical-themed restaurant in New York City that operated during the 1930s through 1950s located at the intersection of Columbus and Broadway at 66th Street.
Founded by Greek immigrant Mixalis Semitekolos - known to regulars as "Captain Mike" - the restaurant was marketed as "The Ship That Never Goes to Sea". It was celebrated for its kitschy, immersive interior designed to mimic a luxury ocean liner.
The menu's provenance traces to a single Midwestern American menu collector's estate. The collection of menus of American restaurants and bars dates predominantly from the 1920s through the 1960s. The menus have been stored in acid-free plastic sleeves and are supported by acid-free cardboard backings. They are handled, packaged and shipped with utmost care.
