All of our carvings are made from natural cedar logs, they can possibly get a few small cracks or checks over time as the piece ages, and the log naturally ages. You can keep these carvings outside, but if you do i would keep up with them and re finish when needed. These carving do best on a covered porch out of the elements or inside. I use cedar because it is so durable, and does not rot easy, so you will have your carvings for many many long years. Thank you for considering a piece of our artwork to add to your life!!!
