The item

This attractive little trio, comprising milk jug or creamer, sugar bowl, which sit neatly on an oval tray, are an excellent example of the classic, stylish 'look' of quality Silver, but at a fraction of the price of solid Silver.

All three pieces carry the marks of Pinder Brothers, of Sheffield, a City synonymous with fine Silver plate.

As you can see from the images, the shape is quite delicate, with its scalloped edging, a style which was very popular with the Victorians and was revived during the Art Deco period and beyond.The four balled feet on the tray is also a pleasing feature.

It's difficult to date with any accuracy. Our best guess is Vintage Mid 20th Century. 

If you're serving coffee or tea to guests, this little threesome would be a real eye catcher on the table.


Condition

The set is in very good condition with little evidence of age and use, except perhaps a few traces of very light surface scratches on the tray, which we only picked when the light is at particular angle.

Whenever possible our asking prices are based on either our knowledge of the genre or on what similar pieces have actually been sold for on the international market, rather than what some sellers are asking, which are usually two very different things!
