This vintage Navajo sandpainting miniature (5x5) framed in a 7x7 display from a trading post in the American Southwest holds a unique piece of Native American art history. The authentic piece features the tribal affiliation of the Navajo and was created in the United States, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Native American people. The presence of the original trading post retail label adds to the provenance of this beautiful and collectible artwork. I remember traveling through Navajo Reservation in the early 1970's with people living in Hogans and people were on horseback living traditionally raising sheep and making trade blankets, great changes happened after the 70's, I witnessed the old Wild West in Colorado and New Mexico Az, etc.. as a young person only to see the west hollowed out and looking like the rest of the country. Lived in the old mountain mining towns before converted to ski resorts gentrified and modernized. EAGLE DANCER
