Tillett has been at the forefront of kart seat design for over 45 years. Founded by Steve Tillett, the brand is renowned for precision engineering, strict quality control, and race-winning performance.
As a result of these high standards, some seats are classified as “very slight seconds.” These may feature very minor cosmetic imperfections in the fibreglass, but are 100% structurally sound and perform identically to first-grade seats. In most cases, once drilled and installed, these imperfections are no longer visible.
This is an excellent opportunity to own a premium Tillett seat at a reduced price—without compromising performance or safety.
The T14 shape is the newest model in our kart seat range
The seat has been released initially for smaller drivers, with an upright back position and additional leg support. The T14 takes the place of the discontinued T8 which also had leg support.
Currently the T14 is only available in the smaller Cadet/Minikart sizes, Mini, Ccd, CL and XScd.
The reason for only having four small sizes is that older juniors and adults are typically strong enough and bracing with the legs is not necessary. The extra width of the leg support can also be a problem with adult sizes, as it miss-aligns the sensitive airbox on many engine combinations. However, the added support can be ideal for classes where a particularly small or inexperienced driver struggles to control a faster kart.
T14VTI is what we call a soft rigidity seat. The VTI rigidity offers more rear wheel from stiffer seat models. Typically, we find the VTI seats are popular because of their level of flexibility.
