Georgian Style Flame Mahogany Gentleman’s Compactum Wardrobe / Linen Press
Description:
A handsome and well-made flame mahogany gentleman’s compactum wardrobe / linen press, dating to the mid-20th century, produced in a Georgian revival style.
Smaller than a full sized linen press, ideal for small interiors.
This is a proper quality piece, not flat-pack nonsense—nicely constructed with beautiful figured veneers throughout. The front is particularly striking, with large oval panels of flame mahogany creating a symmetrical, bookmatched effect.
The interior is very practical:
• Upper section fitted with slatted sliding trays/shelves (ideal for shirts, knitwear, or linens)
• Lower section with four drawers, all running smoothly
• Cupboard doors above and below for enclosed storage
Raised on shaped bracket feet with original-style brass handles and escutcheons.
A versatile piece—works equally well as a wardrobe, linen press, or statement storage cabinet.
