Western Airlines was a major American carrier that operated from its founding in 1925 until its acquisition by Delta Air Lines in 1987. Headquartered in Los Angeles, it was renowned as "The Champagne Airline" and for its iconic slogan, "Western Airlines... The Only Way to Fly!".

This in flight menu features a vintage graphic design used for Western Airlines promotional items.  The design is a rustic collage styled to look like wooden cubby holes or a printer's tray, filled with iconic imagery and names of destinations served by the airline. These include states like Alaska, Hawaii, and Florida, along with regions like Canada and Mexico.

The menu's provenance traces to a single Midwestern American menu collector's estate who frequently flew on Western Airlines in the 1960s and 1970s.

The collector's menus have been meticulously stored in acid-free plastic sleeves and are supported by acid-free cardboard backings.  They are handled, packaged and shipped with utmost care.
