The Dell Boss 2 x 240GB SSD M.2 card is an ideal solution for setting up a bootable RAID 1 for various virtualization platforms, operating systems, and more, especially in cases where there is a limited number of drive bays available in the server. The Dell BOSS (Boot Optimized Storage Solution) adapter card is equipped with two Intel SSDs from the S3520 series, model SSDSCKJB240G7R, in M.2 format with a capacity of 240GB. These SSDs are built using 3D NAND MLC technology and utilize a SATA 6Gb interface.
The BOSS card is designed to manage the boot process of operating systems in Dell servers, offering redundancy in the form of RAID 1 and enhancing reliability. The card allows booting in Dell servers of generation 14, 15, and certain models of generation 16.
The card does not support M.2 drives with PCIe NVMe interface.
