It has been used in the kitchen, but always hung on the wrong of the stove not really used to wipe up things maybe dry off moist fingers, but nothing as far as drastic cleaning

It says machine wash, but I would hand wash. As far as I know, it’s only been hand washed once and left flat to dry.
