of modern abstract art and great
Idea(s) from Massimo Osti Stone Island.
Very Good Condition for A/W 2008 jacket.
The autumn winter 2008
Raso Hand Painted Camouflage Field Jacket. This exclusive piece is constructed
from one of the definitive Stone Island fabrics. Starting off with a military
grade cotton satin weave, it is then faded in selected areas with a corrosive
paste. The hand painted process is inspired by World War One camouflage also
polluting the Stone Island badge on the left sleeve. This extraordinary manual
procedure makes each piece unique and unrepeatable. Furthermore this field
jacket is fitted with a detachable quilted nylon liner, which is held in using
a sailing Dutch rope system.
This highly
sought-after manual procedure makes each garment, including the badge, a unique
piece due to variations in the application process. The pattern was inspired by
WWI soldiers who used earth to dirty their uniforms and blend in with their
surroundings.
