The PRS McCarty 10 Top in Yellow Tiger takes one of the most respected models in the PRS lineup and adds a top that immediately sets it apart. Built as a tribute to Ted McCarty and the golden era of electric guitar design, the McCarty pairs a maple top with a slightly thicker mahogany back for added warmth, sustain, and strong midrange presence. This example is upgraded with a 10 Top, a designation reserved for maple with exceptional figure and visual consistency.

The standout here is the top itself. The flame maple has super wide curl with a deep three dimensional effect that moves constantly in the light. It gives the guitar a lot of life from every angle. The Yellow Tiger finish is perfectly suited to this piece of wood, highlighting the figuring in a way that genuinely resembles tiger stripes across the top. Combined with the high gloss nitro finish, natural back, bound rosewood fretboard, bird inlays, and nickel hardware, it has the look of a premium PRS through and through.

Loaded with McCarty III pickups, this model delivers warm vintage style humbucker tones with excellent clarity and note separation.
