This was a battle in the First Sino-Japanese War of 1894 /1895.
This was Japan's first foreign battle in over 800 years and these prints were meant to satisfy the demand by the population of Japan for news of this war. The depiction of the battles was not always accurate.This War was the last to be covered with Ukiyo-e the Russo Japanese was covered mainly by photography.
Also you will note that this copy has correct brown colours of the Chinese troops.Other copied sold had mismatched colours.
Because of the Museum Quality of this print,the published price is the lowest I will accept.
