Description

This is a vintage Poco Lena headstall with one engraved ear piece arrow on the right side, three monel silver ferrules on each cheek, and dome conchos at the bit ends.  The back side of the arrow concho is marked Alpaca Mexico.  This is a vintage headstall and was probably made in the 1980's.

This well maintained dark oil headstall measures 32 inches at the smallest adjustment and 40 inches at the largest.  The leather has some light cracks at one of the adjustment holes as shown in the close up photo, but nothing that prevents the headstall from being usable.  The buckles show some light rusting.  The leather is recently conditioned and is still supple.  Poco Lena headstalls are really popular with the Ranch Versatility exhibitors and cutters.
