1978 MGB Roadster – Pageant Blue Restomod – 170bhp – Featured Car – Serious Spec
Here for sale is my 1978 MGB Roadster finished in stunning Pageant Blue, a properly sorted restomod that blends classic British style with modern performance and usability.
Originally rebuilt by the previous owner in 2017 as a feature car (appeared in MG Magazine), the brief was simple – create something fun, unique, and genuinely exciting to drive. It absolutely delivers on that.
I purchased the car and have continued to improve it, addressing key areas and upgrading components to make it a reliable, usable and seriously enjoyable driver’s car.

RECENT WORK / OWNERSHIP
When I bought the car it required some attention, including an emissions issue. This has been fully resolved with upgrades to the fuel and lambda system, and it now passes MOT with no issues.
DRIVING EXPERIENCE
This is not a garage queen—it’s a proper driver’s car. Whether on the motorway, B-roads, or around town, it’s engaging, responsive and genuinely fun. The combination of classic looks and modern running gear makes it stand out from standard cars.
You can admire it for hours, but it really comes alive when driven.
