This came from a house clearance, I have aired it but not attempted any spot cleaning or sent it to the dry cleaners for fear of further damaging the fibres - from the photos you will see it is very clearly in need of some TLC from someone who understands how to restore these beautiful pieces of Welsh weaving heritage.

Photographed on the washing line so as best to illustrate its multiple stains/marks (albeit many are visible only on the reverse side) and quite a few small holes in need of careful darning. I would say that the majority of the stains are tea-like, but there are others that are more "gunky" and I am not sure of their origin.
