Player Notes: Gabriel is ready for the big league roster… He was drafted in the 3rd Round of the 2022 MLB Draft out of Florida Atlantic University. He is a slugging and versatile outfielder who moved quickly to High A in 2023 and AA in 2024. For his 2024 season, he played in only 68 games but still hit 11 home runs and stole 23 bases while maintaining a .347 OBP. He also was the most outstanding performer in 2025 spring training where he lead the team in home runs and OPS. He was sent down for the 2025 season and again showed what he could do. At Triple-A, in 119 games, he hit 18 home runs, stole 21 bases and had a .370 OBP. He is one of the top prospects in baseball.
