Dating from circa 1900, this after dinner ink sketch of Edward, Prince of Wales, later Edward VII by noted artist and war reporter Melton Prior (British 1845 - 1910). It is executed on Illustrated London News headed paper whom Prior worked for at the time. The work is clean and bright and in an unglazed frame with a later letter of research from the National Portrait Gallery.
The sketch within the mount measures 7 cm (2 3/4 in) wide by 10 cm (4 in) tall. Please contact us with any questions before bidding or buying.
