Balancer failure is one of the most well-known issues in Mitsubishi 4N14 engines and can lead to serious engine damage.
The best and most cost-effective solution is to permanently disable the balancer system, eliminating the problem entirely.

This solution can save you up to £2900, which is the approximate cost of a new replacement unit from Mitsubishi main dealers (OEM service price).

What’s Included

• Sleeve for blocking the oil channel in the balance shaft drive housing.

• 6mm headless stainless steel screw (grub screw) to block the oil supply channel in the oil sump.

• Loctite 603 Retainer – oil- resistant anaerobic retaining compound for permanent sleeve flanges.  installation and thread sealing / locking

• Tufrox Hi-Temp Charcoal RTV – top quality 100% silicone gasket maker (-40°C to +350°C) for oil sump reinstallation.

• Genuine Ajusa or Elring  (based on availability) high-quality oil pickup gasket (Ajusa & Elring gaskets are used by many car manufacturers for original factory installation.)
  
  IMPORTANT:    The Mitsubishi 4N14 engine is very sensitive to oil pressure. Always replace the oil pickup seal with a new, high-quality seal when carrying out work on the engine.

   A clogged screen in the oil pickup pipe and an air leak at the pickup pipe connection are the most common  causes of the oil pressure warning light coming on while the engine is idling.
