The standard size for a pack of trump cards is 36, this is to provide the greatest variation in the number of players possible (normally 2, 3, 4 or 6). Of course they don't have to be used for playing trumps, I'm sure many of you will want them purely as a collectible item.
One of the hardest parts of this project was actually selecting the 36 Speccy games to make the final cut into the pack. A lot of time was spent reviewing sources to compile the list, these sources included World of Spectrum, Your Sinclair readers and official polls, YouTube commentators, other Internet lists, and finally my experience in the 1980s!
The cards are not necessarily the "top" 36 games, but rather a mix of top games, classic games, and importantly, games that defined the ZX Spectrum. Now I fully realise that not everyone will be completely happy with every selected game, there will always that one favourite game that is not in the pack. Heck I'm not happy that one or two of my favourites didn't make it, but 36 does limit the choice from all the brilliant games that were made.
I have shown 4 of the games that made the pack - Ant Attack, Chuckie Egg, Deathchase and Manic Miner. These are by no means either at the top or the bottom of the range in score, price or release date, but rather just a random choice of 4 out of 36 excellent Speccy games. The remaining 32 games will remain a surprise until you receive your pack.
