The clock has a beautiful brushed brass/satin metal dial with Roman numerals, decorative floral/scroll filigree in all four corners, and classic black spade-style hands. A small “Hamilton” plaque is centered on the dial.

This is a mechanical key-wind clock with a German-made movement (likely Hermle, common in Hamilton mantel clocks of this era). It includes a silent chime switch (labeled “Silent Chime” on the dial area) so you can enjoy the Westminster-style quarter-hour chimes during the day and turn them off at night for quiet. The substantial solid wood case has a hinged glass door for easy access to the dial, a brass carry handle on top, and a small nameplate on the crown.
