c1900 Nice German Sterling Silver Shaker / Caster by Hermann Berhnd
Presented is a nice German sterling silver shaker or caster. This piece was made by Hermann Berhnd and dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s. The shaker is done in a classical balustroid form with elegant fluted twist design, which carries over into the lid.
This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
This piece is stamped "Handarbeit" (German for 'handwork) as well as the maker's mark for Hermann Berhnd, the German crescent moon and crown, and 925 for sterling silver.
The caster stands about 5 1/8 inches tall.
This piece weighs 178 grams or 6.3 regular ounces.
