For your consideration is an AMAZING, museum-quality SALVER/CENTERPIECE—sterling silver by Joseph Angell Sr., London, 1819, Georgian (George III). It is HUGE and HEAVY, and in excellent estate condition. Handmade and hand-hammered, this salver/centerpiece is truly monumental—on par with Christie's and Sotheby's offerings (check out my images for the recent auction results!).
Decorated with intricate floral elements, masks, and lions, it stands proudly on three massive, beautifully decorated legs. The salver features the central Coat of Arms with the Motto of the Matheson Clan: ‘Fac Et Spera’ – Do and Hope.
