Thanks so much for having a look!
As with most items on my EBAY page, it begins with something I make for myself or a friend and I come to the realization that others may enjoy it as well. This one was for me!
In preparation for the arrival of my TOMY U.S.S. Enterprise Refit, I created this companion music box. I cannot gaze upon her beauty without hearing her theme song, "The Enterprise" from Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
Press the hidden button on the back and it will light up and play her song.
I built it with a sound chamber on the inside. The sound card sits on a tray which is raised from the bottom. There is a speaker port on the tray. The entire unit sits on rubber feet, which all add to the sound quality which is quite good for such a small card.
The tray slides completely out for charging and adding sounds of your own. It includes a manual with instructions to do so. There is about 5MB remaining on the 15.8MB card. "The Enterprise" is quite long!
The memory on the card is yours to do with as you wish. You can add additional music or sound effects. "The Enterprise" is also removable giving you the full total of 15.8MB of memory which is around 16 minutes of .mp3 audio at a standard compression rate of 128kbps. "The Enterprise" itself can be further compressed as I used stereo and a higher bitrate that is overkill for the card, but that's just me being me!
It takes about 90 minutes to charge to full and will play for approximately 120 minutes on a full charge.
No modification to your TOMY Enterprise required!!
The base is printed in a Galaxy Black PLA which is sparkly and has a slight blue tint to it. Also silver and clear, which allows the sound card's LED to shine through the center section when playing. The emblem is done in silver, gold, and galaxy black.
Note that I can create this with different registry plates if you like, for example, if you want to display it with an Enterprise A. I can also do it in custom color schemes. Just ask!
It is approximately 134 x 75 x 90mm (5.3 x 3 x 3.5 inches).
Live Long & Prosper!!
NOTES: This is a multicolor 3D print in PLA. There is no finishing on the piece. As with any 3D print, there may be slight imperfections. Colors may vary slightly from those in the photos.
