The Casio G-SHOCK GMW-B5000 series carries forward the iconic square design of the original Casio G-SHOCK DW-5000C, the first G-SHOCK introduced in 1983, while incorporating a full-metal construction and advanced modern features including smartphone connectivity.
A shock-resistant structure enables the full-metal exterior by inserting a fine resin cushioning material between the rigid stainless-steel bezel and the inner case. High-density mounting technology also allows the watch to maintain a compact size. The case back features a robust screw-lock construction with a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating to enhance abrasion resistance. In addition, a soft urethane band improves wearing comfort. The use of a film solar cell and an STN-LCD ensures enhanced visibility.
In terms of functionality, the watch is equipped with Bluetooth® connectivity, allowing automatic time adjustment via pairing with a dedicated smartphone app. It also features standard time radio wave reception (Multiband 6), Tough Solar power generation for stable operation, a high-brightness full-auto LED backlight, world time, and day-of-the-week display in six languages.
A refined G-SHOCK that preserves the spirit of the original while advancing with a full-metal design.
