The GBD-H2000 series is part of G-SHOCK's sports line, the G-SQUAD, and is equipped with a heart rate monitor and GPS.

In addition to measuring distance, speed, and pace, the watch is equipped with an optical sensor for heart rate monitoring, an accelerometer for step counting, a gyro sensor for determining swimming style and turns, and sensors for direction, altitude/barometric pressure, and temperature. It's compatible with multiple sports, including running, cycling, and swimming. It also provides training analysis and sleep recovery analysis.

The urethane bezel and band are made of biomass plastic. Design-wise, the watch features a curved case back to reduce interference with the back of the hand, textured buttons for improved operability, and a high-definition MIP LCD screen for excellent visibility. It also supports USB and solar charging for added practicality.
