This auction features two unique Topps "Proof" baseball cards:
1. 1969 Bruce Howard #226 (PROOF-8.5)
2. 1962 Chet Nichols #403 (PROOF-10)

These aren't your typical vintage Topps cards—they are specialized "Blank Back" printer's proofs that originated from the famous 1989 Topps Archive Auction (conducted by Guernsey’s). At that auction, Topps cleared out decades of their vault materials, and many of these items were purchased, graded, and encapsulated by Alan Hager, the founder of ASA (Accugrade).

1962 Topps Chet Nichols #403 (ASA 10 Proof)
1969 Topps Bruce Howard #226 (ASA 8.5 Proof)
  • Historical Context: This 1969 Senators card is also a blank-backed proof. The "8.5" grade is solid.
