Description

Here is a new in the package re-make of the late 40's - 50's after market accessory shift guide or gate for Harley.

Some company designed this gate for owners of '37 to '46 Big Twin that wanted to use a '47 and later transmission. This gate combines the mounting type of the '37-'46 with the turned up edge with two "ears" on the tank side, with the turned down edge and shift pattern of the '47 and up on the outboard side. The shift pattern is 432N1 from front to back.
This "conversion or hybrid" gate could also be used on a '47 and later motorcycle fitted with '46 and earlier tanks. Picture of 3 gates shows this one in between the two it combines.
This item is cast of solid brass and then polished and chromed. I don't know what company originally made these. I have heard the name "Atlas" mentioned, but cant confirm.
