These grips were made for the Smith & Wesson DA .38 Top Break Revolver. They will also fit the S&W 1896 .32 Hand Ejector Revolver and all of the old style 1903 .32 Hand Ejector models with the round butt made up into the 1950’s. The grips were made with a South American hardwood, which could be walnut. They are in good condition showing normal wear, and almost all of the original checkered pattern can still be seen. The fit quite snugly on the DA .38 frame, but they don’t quite close together at the rear like the factory target grips would.
The revolver frame shown here is not for sale with these grips; it is here simply to show that the grips fit this particular frame.
We found these grips in an old gun shop in Montevideo, Uruguay that closed down in the second half of the 20th century. Most of the parts in that shop were from the 1880 to 1920 period.
This set of grips will be insured for the purchase price when shipped. If you buy more than one item we will try to combine items in the shipping when possible.
