This is The  Adventures of Sherlock Holmes – A. Conan Doyle 1892 first edition.  This book is in barely acceptable condition.  It is a first edition from 1892.  It is 134 years old.  The cover is rough and faded with areas of the cloth torn off of the cardboard.  There is an inscription on the second blank page dated Dec. 25,1906 in pencil.  The first few pages have some small brown stains.  The pages are a light brown.  The edges of the pages are rough with some blueing on them.  There are some small brown stains throughout the book and in the crease of the pages.  The covers are well attached to the book and the spine is tight.   Please see the photos.
