This 1972 Chevrolet Nova is a purpose-built street and strip machine with a serious performance mindset and unmistakable presence. Wrapped in black with aggressive blue and white flames licking across the front end, this Nova blends classic muscle car attitude with modern visual flair. The stance, halo headlights with integrated turn signals, and LED taillights give it a menacing look day or night, while the black interior keeps things clean and business-like. Power steering, power brakes, and working heat make it surprisingly livable for such a high-performance build.
Under the hood sits a stout 355ci small-block Chevy, built with performance in mind from the ground up. The engine features +.030 pistons with 10:1 KB internals, a Lunati Voodoo cam, 1.5 roller rockers, and Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum heads and intake. Fuel and air are handled by a Holley 650 Double Pumper carburetor, while ignition duties are covered by an MSD system with a 6AL box and Pro-Billet distributor. The result is a hard-charging combination producing roughly 500 horsepower, with the added punch of a NOS Powershot nitrous system when you want to turn things up another notch.
Power is sent through a Turbo Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission paired with a 2,900-stall converter and a B&M Star shifter, delivering crisp shifts and excellent street/strip manners. Out back, a 10-bolt posi-traction rear end with a 4-series carrier and 4.11 gears puts the power to the pavement. Supporting hardware includes a Hurst Roll Control line lock, a 16-gallon fuel cell with a Holley electric fuel pump and filter, and a rear-mounted battery for improved weight distribution.
The exhaust system features 2.5-inch piping with electric cutouts, allowing you to cruise quietly or unleash the full soundtrack of the build at the flip of a switch. With front disc brakes, rear drums, and a well-sorted drivetrain, this Nova is equally at home cruising the street, lighting up the tires, or making hard passes at the track. It's a bold, high-horsepower 1972 Nova built for someone who wants classic muscle looks backed by real performance.
