Up for sale is my Ocean Optics STS NIR Spectrometer that reads from 634nm to 1125nm.  When I got the spectrometer I noticed that there was something loose inside.  When I opened it up, I saw that the slit had fallen out.  You can see this little piece in my second and third picture.  According to Ocean Optics, this happens when someone uses the wrong SMA-905 cable that has a longer ferrule and when you insert it into the spectrometer, it pushes the slit off.  The 100um slit is held on by glue so the new owner will have to glue it back into position but it is VERY critical that it's position is perfect so that might be a little tricky unless you have some type of jig to hold everything in place while gluing it back on.  As you can see by my last picture, the spectrometer works great but just has horrible resolution without it's slit. I'm selling it AS-IS.  Thank you.
