This is a remarkably preserved Swiss-made 8-day mechanical carriage clock. It features a unique quatrefoil shape with a decorative scrollwork handle. The face is adorned with delicate floral petit point (needlepoint) on a cream textile background. The solid brass casing is exceptionally detailed with deep, hand-chased-style floral vine etching that wraps around the entire perimeter.

Key Features:

• Movement: Quality Swiss 8-Day mechanical movement; marked "SWISS" on the back plate.

• Dial & Hands: Original luminous hands that still hold a soft glow. Clear Arabic numerals and "8 DAYS" designation.

• Artistry: Genuine floral needlepoint textile face and heavy etched brass scrollwork.

• Dimensions: 5.25” Height (top of handle to base) x 4” Width.

• Weight: 9.7 oz.

Age & Era:

• Era: Mid-Century (1940s–1960s)

• Age: Approx. 60–80 years old

Condition Report:

• Function: Wound and tested; currently ticking and holding time.

• Aesthetics: The brass shows a rich, natural patina. The needlepoint is clean and vibrant with no pulls or staining.

• Fit Note: The back plate is currently not sitting entirely flush against the casing (see side-view photos). I have chosen not to force it closed to protect the internal mechanism, though it appears to be a simple alignment issue.

Will be packaged & shipped carefully. See my many positive reviews. My husband builds custom boxes when needed & takes great care with packaging.
